Happy Fall, everyone!! While this time of the year is fun, it also comes with many seasonal illnesses such as the common cold and flu. As the weather continues to get cooler, it can bring along some unwanted symptoms. Signs of symptoms of a common cold include sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and scratchy throat. During this season, children will also be exposed to different viral illnesses such as flu and RSV. Symptoms of these viral illnesses include but are not limited to fever, chills, body aches, runny nose, cough, and possible stomach upset.

Here are some tips for staying healthy and protecting your children from getting sick: washing hands often with soap and water, covering cough and sneezes, getting plenty of rest, and getting the flu shot! Do not hesitate to bring your child to visit their pediatrician if they begin running a fever, start having difficulty breathing/worsening cough, or if symptoms are persistent or worsening. We are always here to help when you may need it!
